While a modest PC can make 1080p edits and do some audio work, you may need to upgrade CPU, RAM, or GPU if you want to do anything higher end. Resolve also has some serious system requirements. The Fusion module's node-based graphics and effects can be particularly challenging to learn. If you have used other professional non-linear editing programs, many of the skills will transfer over, but you'll still have to learn where tools live, which can be challenging given how packed the interface is.
